SMT Shipping is an integrated shipping company with a fleet of over 60 vessels and full ship management capacities in-house. The company focuses on dry bulk and self-loading and self-discharging, and has offices all over the world.
Marcel Heijnsbroek has been in logistics and shipping for his entire career and has been with SMT Shipping ever since 2007.
Marcel Heijnsbroek: “I like the shipping industry because of all of the challenges that come with it. It's always dynamic and there is never a dull moment. Next to that there is always lots of room to improve, that's what strikes me most. I'm never without ideas to improve further.”

"In shipping, I don't think you can ever stop growing because if you stop growing you may find yourself reducing in size," Marcel notes. "So we always have a growth perspective which is actually very difficult because everything is expensive these days, but we are still active and looking for the right next deal for us."
