NIBC & ESG

Established in 1945 to help rebuild the Netherlands after the Second World War, NIBC is strongly rooted in its obligations towards society.

We believe it is our responsibility to be a sustainable business, committed to enable the ambitions – and sustainability ambitions – of our clients.

We aspire to contribute to building a better society by financing assets that positively impact sustainability.

In this era where sustainability is paramount, we've solidified our ESG strategy, setting ambitious goals. These naturally involve our efforts towards emission reduction and playing our part in financing the transition journey of our clients.

ESG Client Portal
To support this vision, we have introduced the ESG Client Portal. This platform is designed to guide you through the reporting process of essential sustainability information. It facilitates an assessment, allowing both you and us to understand where you currently stand on your sustainability efforts and how NIBC can support you in the next steps of your transition journey.
Simultaneously, it helps us in fulfilling our mandatory disclosure obligations on ESG, particularly with the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

CSRD
The CSRD is a directive by the European Commission that mandates medium, large and/or listed enterprises to disclose their sustainability initiatives in alignment with the criteria of the EU taxonomy. This taxonomy identifies activities deemed sustainable through scientifically validated contributions to the mitigation of or adaptation to climate change.

We're delighted with the valuable information you have already shared with us through our portal, showcasing that sustainability is a mutual priority.

Do you have feedback or questions on this topic? Or do you wish to discuss the financing of your sustainable investment plans? Don't hesitate to contact us.

We are excited to collaborate on a sustainable future.
