Project Update: 326 New Homes in Pijnacker's 'Kiem' Project

In Pijnacker, the new residential area De Scheg is taking shape. For the development phase of project 'Kiem,' we provided financing to Janssen de Jong Projectontwikkeling! This project will see the creation of 326 homes, including 151 apartments, with 100 of these apartments designated for the social rental segment. It's always inspiring to witness the transformation from blueprint to reality!

We were warmly welcomed by Edwin Rensen, who gave us a tour. The first family homes, designed in a modern-farm architectural style, are already completed. The parking spaces use grass pavers, allowing rainwater to seep into the ground easily, giving the streets a green character. The car-free area between the family homes will feature wadi systems to manage water storage.

Along the railway, five apartment buildings are rising within a green, park-like setting. These apartments are intended for both sale and social rental.

In addition to these sustainable family homes and apartment complexes, semi-detached houses, detached houses, and back-to-back houses will also be built, all equipped with heat pumps and excellent insulation.
